How do we find uses in technology to protect our democracy?

Finding an uncommon use for technology to protect our democracy.

Finding use for technology when it comes to protecting our democracy in the United States is something that I had not heard of previously after reading this week's reading in The Center for Humane Technology for my graduate class at Quinnipiac University. The introduction chapter starts off by talking about how we can better use technology for the good and advancement of humanity and how using technology in a good way creates more resilient democracies and can make us more hopeful even when the world and our country is surrounded by negativity.

I chose this topic in the introduction of one of this week's readings to respond to the prompt presented in class because it shows how we can use technology to advance the goodness of human nature. While there are so many changes happening all around the world and especially when it comes to the government of the United States. In the reading it continues to talk about how technologists are working to make the world better and this is not something I had previously known about so it makes me very intrigued and interested in how we can advance the world with technology and make our government stronger as well by doing this.

I believe that if we are able to use technology for the greater good of society and to end the way conflicts that are going on all over the world, that in turn will be able to help us create a stronger democratic system in the United States and will help other democracies thrive.

That is what stood out to me in just the introduction of the readings this week from my graduate class and along with that it was interesting to see what else was spoken about this topic in the rest of the reading.

It is clear that being a humane technologist will help to support society and make the world a better place. If we continue to use technology in better ways that would not cause harm, the world sill improve and government structures around the world will be supported and will thrive.
